STATEMENT OF FAITH

1.     We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 
(Read Deut. 4:35; 5:7; John 10:30; I Tim 2:5;  Isa. 7:14; Eph. 4:4-6; Isa. 9:6; Luke 1:31-33;
Col. 1:15-17; Phil. 2:5-10; Heb. 1:8-10; II Cor. 3:17, 18; Acts 5:3,4; Luke 1:35.

2.    We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and
is true God and true man.  (Read John 1:1, 14, 18; 20:31; I Tim. 3:16; Matt. 1:18-23;
Luke 1:26-35; I John 1:1-14; II John 7-9; Rev. 1:5-8, 17,18).

3.    We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and
inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme authority in faith and life.
(Read II Tim. 3:16; Isa. 40:8; Psalm 119:89; John 10:35; 12:48; Deut. 4:1,2; Prov. 30:5,6; 
Mark 13:31; II Pet. 1:21; Rev. 22:18-19).

4.     We believe that man was created in the image of God; that man sinned, and therefore,
incurred not only physical but also spiritual death; and that all men are born with sinful nature,
and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and
deed. (read Gen. 1:26,27; 8:1-9; Ps. 8:4-6; 51:5; Job 14:1-5; Matt. 8:11-12; 22:12-14; 25:20;
Rom. 5:12; 3:9-12; Heb. 9:27; Jude 12:15; Rom 3:23).

5.    We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a
representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all that believe in Him are justified on the
ground of His shed Blood. (Read I Cor. 15:1-4; II Cor. 5:21; Gal 3:10-13; Isa. 53:1-6; I Peter 2:22, 24; Rev. 1:5; 5:9).

6.    We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and in His ascension into heaven
and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Read Heb. 4:14-16;
I Cro 15:3-8; Luke 24:36-48; Acts 1:8-11; I Tim. 2:5).

7.     We believe in the personal return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Read Titus 2:13-14;
Rev. 22:20; I Thess. 2:19; 4:13-18).

8.     We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy
Spirit and thereby become children of God. (Read John 1:12,13; John 3:9; John 3:1-18).

9.     We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting felicity of the
saved, and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost. (Read John 5:28,29;
Matt. 25:31-46; Heb. 10:26-31).

10.   We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in Christ, (Read Eph' 5:19-32).

11.  We believe in the two ordinances given by the Lord Jesus Christ to be followed after salvation: 
Baptism and the Lord's Supper. ( Read Matt. 28:18,19,20; I Cor. 11:23-34
